If mercenaries want to leave let them. Our priority should be MOYES.

If Moyes leaves fair play to him we have had 10 years of his service enjoyed the football. Hope he does well. I am sure if Swansea can pick Laudrup up from nowhere to manage them I am sure we can. But I don't think Moyes will go even if he wants champion league. Probably waiting to see how fair play works and maybe more investment. I think personally he would be nuts leaving after the merry go round managers are having to put up with in other clubs. No fan of Harry Rednapp but I don't know why he was sacked. AVB didn't last a season at Chelsea. Moyes has given a lot to this club and I would wish him the best for future but on the other hand I would think he was nuts, lots of managers even though we aren't in Champions League would love his job being as stable as it is.

As for my favourite player of the moment Fellaini - yes if he went then its understandable wants to play in champions league and along side the best in this league and will probably become a better player because of the other players around him - good luck to the big man. I am sure we would get a lot of money and be able to replace him. :). Enjoyed having him at Everton and if he leaves, returns to Goodison playing for a different club well I will always be a fan of his but I just hope be plays badly on his return haha.....

Oh forgot to add regarding new managers - this may make you all have a good laugh and give you something to think about.

Mourinho having earned lots of money in the game and won practically everything his next ambition as reported would be to take on a new challenge by rebuilding a club - not a ready made one. From the bottom up and make it a force. Now stranger things have happened if Moyes did leave who knows. We could be the building project. And he said he would like to come back to the Premiership. And our little team with its financial problems not winning a cup for a long time but our loyalty to the managers giving him free range to buy the players he wants without someone else doing it might make our club strangely attractive (in fact sexy) to some ;) LOL in football anything is possible and strange things do happen. It would be funny if someone like him did come to our club, you have United loosing Fergie in a few years and Kopites struggling with everything - we end up with City as the top clubs in the N West... It would be the turn of bluesides although I dislike Billionaire City.. Haha. Joke

Hmmm.

I dunno you know.

Fergie rates him highly and im fairly sure they will ask him for advice.

Wouldnt be surprised myself like.

But no, Jose will NEVER manage Everton.

Does Fergie really rate him that highly? Sure in public he probably does praise his fellow Scotsman and friend but i'd be very very very shocked if he recomended Moyes for the job.

Ferguson is smart enough to see that Moyes isn't the type of manager United need and would be an absolutely huge risk liable to damage the legacy Ferguson has created there, and he wouldn't want that on his cv.

 we keep saying Fergie going to retire soon including me... But I can see him walking out in his Zimmer frame in 15 years time.

Maybe it's his wife. Probably prefers him working than being at home and being grumpy  like most men of a certain age haha....

Be an interesting year for him for me as I wanted him to get the lpool Job as I didn't think he was up to it and I've heard from good sources that he's considered 'weak' but a year that sees them outside the bottom six might change my opinion but I'm not a huge fan at present.

you've heard from 'good sources' that he's 'considered weak'
oh well then, brilliant insight, that rules him out. Thank you for that shining analysis.

Not at all mate it was simply a comment that more than one person believed that Martinez was 'weak' generally in relation to the players . I wasn't suggesting that that meant therefore I was excluding him for any shortlist at that's actually a bit of power I don't have at the club and I hope if anyone reading it here who has such power isnt unduly influenced by two lines typed by me on an Internet forum.

I wasn't trying to be irritating just mention 'casually' something I'd heard to be read or disregarded as is the readers want perhaps in an attempt to add to the discussion which it seems has irritated you and that clearly wasn't my intention. I chose to not post the sources and as it wasn't 'definitive' just a casual opinion that I thought that would suffice.

As much as I admire Moyes for improving the squad, there is a part of me which would love to see how our team would look under the control of a more creative, attack focused manager.

I cant help feel my over riding memory of Moyes last 10 years is predictable, containment football.

Whether it be Everton or any English club for that matter who doesn't put a good chunk of focus on making it's growth and development within it's academy a super high priority then there will always be players coming and going from elsewhere and I can't blame them for not having this loyalty till death for the club type feeling in their heart.
