Player Valuation: £8m
Yeah we all know Lescott is crying out to slip of to Hughes XI and double his wages. But would it be the if Hughes wanted Jagielka, Baines or Cahill instead? I don't think so, my feeling is that these two guys are hard working humbled football players that *loves* Everton F.C. It's like they where born Evertonians.

What do you think guys ?

cahill will be here until he is 33/34 then move to austalian league

cahill is a legend

not sure bout jags.. he is awesome but dunno bout commitment yet

I don't think we can guarantee any of our players would stay if it came to bettering their careers.
Certain lads might look upon City as an opportunity, and others might prefer the likes of a big club such as United, or Madrid etc, but I don't think any of our players would turn down tripling their wages for the same job.
It's not about loyalty. It's about status and the perks that accompany it.

Bugger that, no player should leave because they want to, if players leave EFC it should because we dont want them anymore.

Why Mikel ? 50k a week ? Isn't it enough ? He's guaranteed that for 5 year at least. Is football just about money?

I think if you asked most people if they wanted an extra £40,000 a week they would find it hard to turn down.

Yes it is.

think of it this way, do you think that the extra money will really improve his quality of life. Tim Cahill drives a bugatti veyron, he's hardly hurting for money. He obviously loves the club, do you think he'd be willing to leave the club he loves, be forced to take the time to settle in with a new team and new teammates, all for what... another veyron?

face it, the wages everton pay are a joke, any of our players making the clubs top salary would easily make more at another club, and i'm sure every one of their agents have made them more than aware of that. if they wanted money they would have left a while ago, they wouldn't come out week after week supporting the club, they would have signalled their intentions to leave. no matter what the cynics try to tell you, football is not all about money.
