Personally I think he’s been really good all year. Getting him for 7mil from Villa, selling him for 30 mil a few years later, and getting him back for 2mil a couple year later has low-key been some of the best business we’ve done

…thought he was fantastic in that first half, the knock he got clearly had an impact but he stayed on (the polar attitude to somebody like Onana). He was a leader on the pitch today.

Offer him a new deal, then it’s up to him.

Under appreciated, does loads of dirty work and never going to grab the eye. Easily still our best midfielder. Need to be succession planning though as he can’t play like this forever.

Think he's better on the ball as well than people give him credit for. When he returned from PSG I felt his distribution had improved from when he was first here. He's no De Bruyne of course but he can keep it ticking and advance the play.

Assist for the first and a lovely one two with Ndiaye for the second. Remember he probably had the ball going over his head for long periods under Dyche and no real options to pass forward when in possession.

Been a great player for us and probably worth keeping hold of even if he becomes a squad player.

We bought Gbamin for big bucks with his knee injury already on record. A foolish club and it's new money are soon parted...

Important too for a CM is that when he gets knocks he invariably plays through it and genuinely wants to stay on the pitch. Ice bath and he’s back for the next game.

So many players now go off as soon as they get a knock - it’s contact sport.
