Even with one leg he’s a better layer than any in our squad. If he was currently playing for Burnley he’d be signed by now.
Mmmmm…

Not sure what I’m twisting. Religious beliefs don’t change the reality of LGBT people and hiding behind religion is just a cop out, just call it out for what it is.

He wasn’t forced to do anything, he refused of his own will and as such has to face being called out on it.

And I’m not overreacting, I don’t want someone with those views representing my club
yes you're probably right but I find it hard to be indignant about morals in football when a state associated with human right's abuses and has the blood of a murdered journalist on their hands is allowed , nay encouraged to buy a PL football team.

Yep, and they stone gay people or throw them of high buildings in that part of the world. So yeah it is a bit rich.

You approve of the re-education camps for Uigar Muslims then, because refusing to eat pork or drink alcohol for religious reasons is a cop out, right?

Why else would he refuse to wear a rainbow, but be happy to wear other branding which is against his religion?
being told what to do is likely to make him feel uncomfortable and that LGBT stuff is vastly politicised so you are not really supporting anything either way

He's a touch past his best but still probably better than our midfielders so would be happy with a season long loan with us. I'm not remotely arsed about his personal views on anything as I'm interested in results for this club and he could do a job for us in the short term.

Not assuming anything at all, just stating my own viewpoint.

Who's denying him the right to work?
I just don't want anybody with homophobic beliefs to represent the club.

Fair point, I'd like to make the point that he never actually stated homophobic beliefs, he just never played in a game of football and the rest was assumed.

Personally I think he's been sacrificed on the alter of social media outrage without context

I wouldn't be bothered if he was part of the Hitler Youth if he can add some steel and purpose to our current '[Poor language removed]' midfield. And if he didn't wanna wear a Rainbow shirt then that's his choice, personally that show was appalling, Zippy and Bungle did my head in, although I had a soft spot for George, purely in a heterosexual way of course.
