From some stuff I had read on French Twitter, it seems that Gana wants his wage paying, PSG aren't paying it and Everton are just sat off, after agreeing everything waiting for PSG to give him his money and sign his paper. Maybe PSG have come back to ask us to cover his wage payment? Who knows.

I'll be honest, I wasn't that bothered by him coming back - it was a short term fix dripping in sentimentality but the fact we've wasted 3 weeks on a deal we simply can't get over the line despite the player wanting to come, us wanting the player and PSG wanting rid really is telling.

The player is clearly not that committed to coming here or this would have been done long ago. The only reason I can think we would still be pursuing it is desperation.

I'm less concerned with that now we have Coady and Tarks. We're more likely to lose tomorrow because we can't score goals!
I think we need a number 6 and if that's to be Gana then fine - I'm not against the move, I just personally would have preferred someone younger and more long term, but if Gana coming in allows funds to go towards our lack of goals then I'm on board with that.
But it looks like Gana wants more money from somewhere, so this isn't going to be resolved any time soon.

Lampard obviously sees him as a player we need, it doesnt matter what order they sign if you have gaps you want to fill.

maybe thats why nothing is happening - both sides would be happy with the deal but neither side is really that arsed to force it
