He wasn’t very specialist v Watford when he completely lets Doucoure run of the back of him in our box as he ball watches.
I don’t think he’s a very good defensive midfielder at all . If that’s purely what we are after, let’s buy wanyama, doesn’t get about the pitch like Gana and is just as bad on the ball, but is loads better as a shield fir the 2 centre backs.

I think Silva and Brands wants someone who can do everything to a high level, that will obviously cost big money, that’s the challenge to Brands.

Oh sorry he isn't unbeatable, how dare a damn fine player like Doucoure have the better of him.

Unreal. He was our best player today. Made 2 key passes, 82% pass completion rate, was the only non-defender to have more than 3 friggin long passes, and was all over the pitch. To have an agenda against this guy is so odd.

Like I've said before, he has these games were people say he was the best player, but it very rarely transfers to the team playing well, or us getting points. In fact, quite the opposite. Usually, when I see that he was our best player, it usually means we have been collectively abysmal and his running/pressing style more noticeable. Very rarely is he the difference maker, making the rest of the team tick. Great players make the teams they are in better, drive them to points they never would've gained.

But don't worry, we may lost against Brighton, but Gana won the stats.

we needed him, with 3 in the back, to offer more offensively in this game than he usually does (LOL, sorry had to) but he didn't. It was his usual instead, where he offers absolutely nothing going forward. Case in point, when he intercepted that pass beautifully and lead our counter.... what does he do after making a great play? passes it blindly and gives it right back to them!

We were so starved for DM/CM players that when we see one even remotely OK, our fans are way too quick in overrating them right away as a result.

He wins a lot of tackles and breaks up play in some games. But what I see all the time is an horrendous player in possession who can’t make simple passes resulting in many of attacks turning to mush. We need a player like Gana but a better version. Someone who can actually play a bit. He’d get nowhere near a top 6 side so ultimately he has to be on the chopping board going forward. Don’t get the love for him at all.

Always been a fan of his uncanny ability to break things up and tireless workrate.

Have to say too though it gets more and more frustrating seeing sideways and backwards balls in possession. When he does choose a forward ball he's usually asking his teammates to control a very difficult ball. Either it's often overhit on the deck or a bouncing difficult ball to do anything with.

I'm posting this after I voted him MOTM. I think we can live with his limitations if Gomes is on top of his game. He was far from that today.

Seem to remember him running forward with the ball 20-30 yards on numerous occasions today, looking to create something. Which isn't on him as he's in the team for his intensity, to win the ball back and to give it to more gifted players. Shame that when he did get it to our more gifted players - Sigurdsson, Richarlison and Gomes that they didn't do the task required of them. In the case of the first 2, at the cost of £35 and £45m compared with 1/5th of that cost for Gana.

One of the best players in our squad, and one of the only players who I think could take us forward in to the top 6. Wouldn't sell him to PSG for any price. Simply one of the best in the league at what he does and is constantly let down by his team mates who aren't at the level needed to push us on.
