Good luck to him, very professional attitude and has been a good player for us, sometimes the only shining light in some terrible team performances over his stay here.

Starting to wonder if £28m is actually a good deal; we often compare it to previous years but it's this summer that matters and there are even crazier fees being paid.

From his debut v Spurs he’s been the one thing that the majority of our squad hasn’t & that was consistent.

He’s been a great Everton player, sadly another with no medal in his cabinet, PSG know a decent player when they see one.

Sad to see him leave, really sad but what’s different this time is that I’m confident we have the scouting & DOF who know what they’re doing & can find a proper replacement & who knows, maybe even an improvement.

Good luck IGG.

He's 30 tho and he wants to go, we're not in a great bargaining position.

I recon it will be 28+ add ons anyway, as someone else said yesterday, Sky love to declare the fee we receive for players without add ons whereas when we buy players (Richarlison) they love to state the fee in full

Just seen his stats since he signed, immense. Be sad to see him leave. Proper player. Just thinking back to the fume when RoKo signed him. How wrong did all those doubters prove.

I was slightly gutted when I seen the 'Breaking news' post on SSN that Lookman left....I think i'm gonna cry when I see the Gana one.

What a player!!!!

You hardly get higher fees for 30ish year-old players. Hummels went for 30.5 million euros this year too and he's a world class centre half. You have to consider that they will have no sell-on value with the player after his contract expires so the fee will inevitably be lower as well. I think 28 million is a fine fee considering how much he cost for us and that he's not the youngest anymore.

Certainly our most consistent performer over the last three years.

That consistency very often shone through in what at times seemed like a sea of dross.

I will be sad to see him go and thankful for his good attitude and work-rate.

We must always think we can do better though, so we should use the opportunity to bring in a younger and more multi-dimensional replacement, to the best extent possible.
