Unplayable once again, if he had someone next to him who could actually pass to lay it off to once he’s won the ball we would have an excellent midfield.

Yes, he is limited going forward but he snuffs out so many dangerous opportunities, I can’t even fathom how many attacking chances the opposition would have without him in our team.

I can live with the misplaced passes in exchange for all of the times he intercepts the ball and relieves the pressure off of our back four. We need a better complement next to him, and let him do his job well, which he does probably as good as anyone in the Premier League.

Was absolutely everywhere, he was so good it made up for Davies being non-effective again. He has his bad games like nearly all players but our midfield undoubtedly needs him most weeks.

Unreal today. Hopefully Gomes can come in beside him and take some of the pressure off him. Just let him do what he does exceptionally well, let someone else ping balls about.
