What did I miss here
This aged well.![]()
Currently we have Godfrey Mina Holgate Patterson Dominic Calvert-Lewin out
Defo all the medical depts. fault them, aren't they?
I remember well the physio running on the pitch and breaking Godfrey's. leg. Didn't one of them also push Patterson over when he was playing for Scotland?
In all seriousness though mate, you need to let this thing go. It's a contact sport, and yes we've had some bad luck with injuries, but you go on like training will have been the same season after season, despite several new coaching teams coming and going.
We know nothing of what goes on behind the scenes, so you're assumption that something is amiss, is actually just that, a baseless assumption. So stop calling for root and branch inquiries when you have no knowledge of what's going on, nor any knowledge of staff or methods.
And fwiw, injuries appear to be on the rise across football anyway. And it's definitely not just us who gets affected by it...

Don't think it is.It’s still relevant. We still get far too many injuries. Every game I anticipate that we’ll pick up a new injury.
Currently we have Godfrey Mina Holgate Patterson Dominic Calvert-Lewin out
Apart from Patterson is anyone confident on any return date for the others? Name one other team that would lose three CBs to long term injuries in two games.
It has to be sorted out.
Let’s just keep doing the same thing every year then. It’s not like we need to improve as a football club is it. Let’s just put it all down to chance and pure bad luck and not attempt to take any proactive accountability for it whatsoever. Brilliant approach.

And we get fast too many injuries compared to who? Where's your evidence for this?

You have to wonder what the causes of that are.Quite interesting doing that and @Saint Domingo may have a point based on last season in isolation.
Everton ranked 18th for total number of injuries, 19th for days lost to injury, 19th for games missed, 18th for Injuries per 90 minutes and 16th for days per injury.

It may well be something about how we train, but it also may speak to historical issues that are no longer present, or it may be a reflection of the individual physiologies of the players in the squad.
Certainly from the outside, and not being a sports scientist, it's very hard to say.
Oddly the Howdens league table of injuries places us 8th in the Prem last season. It’s still relevant. We still get far too many injuries. Every game I anticipate that we’ll pick up a new injury.
