That got your attention (y)(y)(y)

I've said this about James Beattie, so its really my take on the role of a centre foreward. I don't want to see the Yak running all over the pitch. I don't want him to come back for corners. Given the free kicks and lost position he's committed around our defence area, I would want to keep him away from there as long as possible.

All I want to see is him on the last opposing defender, making his life hell and running him ragged. James Vaughan, as much as he is criticised does that quite well.

Also, with Yak further up the field, when we hoof the ball from a clerance we actually have a target to aim at. He can hold the ball up, he can bring people into play, he can score with both feet and header. It also stretches play and gives us more room in midfield.

If we get him, let Jo do all that running about and linking play stuff, he's quite good at that, but for Yak, let him give defenders hell.

I think it's a fair point. Whether it will happen is a different story. You have players like the Yak and Beattie who are best utilised in the opposition penalty area, not doing all the dirty work.

Then there are players who thrive off the dirty work and manage to do something productive in the opposition's penalty area too, Tevez for example.

Moyes likes his players to be fully involved though. He's not willing to have 10 men busting a gut and the 11th up the other end of the pitch doing nothing until the ball comes to him in the area. Perhaps this is a weakness? I don't know.

Personally I'd like to see someone like the Yak at the top end of the pitch doing what he does best, poaching goals. Someone playing off him to do the dirty work and create chances leaving him to do his job would be ideal. Cahill has the workrate, and Jo has the spark. Ideally you need one of them to have both.

Dont want to see his sh*tty hand celebration either when he scores . He looks proper gay when he does that especially with them gloves on

It is damn annoying seeing us bring 11 players back to defend corners but i don't remember that many times when we conceded from them when doing so.

Would be interesting if anyone knew the statistics.

And i'm sure the Yak only comes back for corners under order not cause he wants to.

Id agree with that, given his reputation I doubt doing any more walking to the defensive area than he's made to is gonna happen :P. I understand where people are coming from tho, its frustrating when you play 4-5-1 and your lone striker spends most of the time at the half way line or the wings, saw that a few times. Hopefully if we can get midfield up to its best and maybe play Jo/Fellaini/Cahill advanced behind the yak then he wont have to come to far back.

As much as its frustrating tho I do like the way the team covers defensively, when a player comes out of position almost always someone else steps in and when we are backs against the wall strikers do come back and help out.

Either way i'd like to see all our injured players come back to how they were as soon as, and maybe a few more jems to make their lives easier
