Im on the verge on swapping my HTC touch pro 2 for an i-phone 4. im about 80% sure. Do you think it's a good phone.

Has any one got one? any problems? are the apps good? any thing i should know?

Posh get. Got an iPod touch, same apps as the iPhone like, you can get a lot more decent free apps than I thought you could tbh.

If you make more than a few calls a month or rely quite a bit on your phone for incoming calls then the honest answer is no. The design of the inbuilt antennae results in very poor reception- Apple said they'd fixed the design fault a couple of month ago but they really haven't. If the PDA stuff is more important to you though then go for it- but its one of the most returned handsets in my wife's place as peeps get cheesed off with the dropped calls its prone to. The Blackberry Torch is a very decent handset and designed to take the stick of every day use. In reality the IPhone 4 is a glorified ipod touch which allows to occassionally make calls unreliably. Nice looking but not something you can rely on if its more than a 12 month deal as you only get a 12 month warranty from Apple.

I have one (iphone4 32GB) mate, top top phone i was one of the smug people saying you could get the same phone for a fraction of the price the iphone was. Simple truth is mate you cant, its a thing of beauty, increasees productivity and for fun games, entertainment, music and staying connected there nothing better, its more like a mini laptop then anything and the apps are fantastic, and you will find your own favourates.

I asked myself would i use it that much before i bought and wheather i really needed it, truth is i started doing loads of stuff on it i never would have dreamt of on a different phone, do it mate you wont regret it.

No probs with the reception or making or getting calls, i think some left handers had probs.

Like minds JD- ps glad your happy with yours though Neiler

I have this weird idea that I actually want my phone to work...and stay charged more than 8 hours. But that's me. I have the bold now...will upgrade to a Torch soon. I value the physical keyboard highly because I sent a lot of emails and text via my phone. I can't stand the virtual keyboards. But with the Torch, you get that plus the touch screen capability of the iphone. Not as many apps, but the ones you need are there.

It's just all personal choice really. Some people think the iPhone is over rated, occassionally unreliable, others think the HTC and Blackberry phones are not as cool. Or something.

I think getting in the shop and having a good play with them finally settles it. I tried my phone and it instantly 'felt right'.
