Found a Redback in a bag of grapes imported from Aussie once, small thing but ****ing scary looking.

There's a few nasties over here, the White Tail is really common, body about size of your thumbnail and don't cast webs, just go around hunting other spiders. Can leave a nasty bite that doesn't do a lot poison wise but hurts and will get infected real easy.
Funnelwebs are also out in the bush/garden/under the house and can be nasty too, Peter Jackson modelled Shelob from Lord Of The Rings on them (they're not that big mind!)

Check out the Huntsman videos on YouTube, puts me off going to Aussie forever!!!

I had a slight Ant problem this morning. Terrible really. I saw at least 4 little ones. Put down some bait stations..

To Summarise:

No Fault Lines,
No Volcano's
Very low risk of Tornado's
Very low risk of Hurricanes
No venomous Snakes
No scarey spiders
No Bears
No Wolfs
Not many shark attacks I'm aware of
No Crocodiles, Alligators
No Malaria Mosquito's
No severe extremes of weather

Its storys like that Dylan that make me glad I live in Blighty.

Yeah but we have scals and ninja to contend with, who are an even more annoying species.

Bizarre. That was my exact response in my head, word for word :S

Nope, just California. We have wild coyotes, owls that eat cats, spiders and snakes who can kill human adults and the ground is just waiting for the right moment to swallow you whole.

Found me a little colony of Black Widows in my back yard. A total of around 10 females, multiple males and a couple of egg sacs (you can see the biggest female and her egg sac in the pic). Well, sprayed the shit out of them and killed them all!!!! Don't need my kids disturbing them during the day and getting bitten......that would be bad.

*Edit* just to mention, this is is actual size. She was a big momma......

Well in Dylan I would've shat me pants! Then killed them, family protection comes first!
