Cal

Player Valuation: £40m
Some people want to actually move outside the City where we were came from, where we are known, everyone talks about the merseyside derby, well it wont be a [Poor language removed] merseyside derby in 3 years time, it will be a north west derby.

Away fans - "where are we going liverpool isnt it?, no mate its kirkby, where the [Poor language removed] is that? i dont know mate, get the map".

What a [Poor language removed] joke.

Whenever either EFC or the RS play either of the manc clubs, wigan, bolton or Blackburn the pundits already call it a NW derby. Nothing new there buddy. And I don't actually WANT to move out of the city, but I understand for the longevity and future of our great club that it is probably necessary.

Agree with Gaz..

I'd love to have a site inside the "city" limits. But there were no sites available that were possible for us to build on. All sites put forth by the LCC was unsuitable and rejected due to many points.

We can't stay at Goodison more than a few years.. and we need those years to build the new stadium.

For me the choise was to move forth into an unsure future, but with a high hope of success. The club is going forth, we are way better of now than during the last decades. Or stay and hope for a possible solution to materialize.. a solution the club could afford.

It was a tough decision for me... and I didn't even get to vote. But for me the pros for the move overweighted the pros for staying.

I dont get what you mean?

I wasnt really talking about that kinda of derby.

Its Liverpool v Everton, a Liverpool derby, the merseyside derby, now it will be any other north west derby that will have no meaning.

It will still be the merseyside derby. Kirkby is still merseyside.

And it will still be a Liverpool-derby. ManU is located outside the city and their games against ManC is a Manchester derby.

I have to admit when i looked where they were planning for, why dont they try and do it on this side of the m57.... i'm sure there is land there. would have saved alot of aggro :(

One City, One Team.

It will always be the merseyside derby mate. Also, with the speed Liverpool (as a city) is expanding, by the time the ground is ready the boundaries will probably encapsulate it.

We've moved outside the city boundries everytime we've changed locations. Don't worry Cal the city of Liverpool will follow us mate. (y)

It's only 4 miles down the road from GP. Not like we're off to Milton Keynes or somehwere like that. It's only a small technicality that Kirkby is not in Liverpool. As far as I'm concerned it is.

If it's only 4 miles down the road what's the big deal? Do you honestly think people are going to switch to liverpool over 4 miles?

Anyone that has ever been to an away game will tell you that they would walk to the ends of the earth to watch the Toffees. 4 miles is no big worry. But I can understand your concerns.
