I couldn't get to listen to the game and was not present, only found out, (with some surprise) about events on Humberside when I got back some time later.
3-0 down in half an hour, this is Hull City is it not, all respect to Brown, and I know he has been under pressure, but no-one could have seen that coming, Moyes said after, it was an awful performance, I guess he was refering to the first half hour not the entire game, did get two back early in the second, but the damage had been done, and it adds a little more pressure on Moyes, more now are saying he should go and has taken the club as far as he is possible. Two weeks ago I would have not listened, he's done really well with limited resources since arriving from Preston in 2002, but as the decline has gone on in recent weeks, some say he almost accepted an Everton defeat before even going out to play at Old trafford, showed no guts or will to win or succeed, this will rage on, it's just the same with Benitez up there, manager in charge of one of Britians biggest and most illustrious clubs, just as Moyes finds himself.
This derby at the weekend takes on ever greater significance for both, it's been a lousy week for both Merseyside clubs, and any points on other will be most welcome to either, and I can't wait for events to get underway and see what unfolds.
