Huddlestone

Not good enough for Spurs, not good enough for us. No [Poor language removed] way for £6m - the figures being banded about lately for distinctly mediocre players is atrocious.

I wouldn't call him a yard dog. He's a cultured midfielder with a good passing range. We can do better though. I'd have him but I'd rather have others before him.

10mill is too much - because he's a english, in the England squad, and has potencial any price is mentioned is to be almost doubled.

We're supposed to be producing [Poor language removed] homegrown players that cant qualify for European tournaments, forcing us to buy cheaper, better players from abroad. I wonder why this is? £16.5 mill for Darren "played 5 games this season" Bent? £15mill Peter "I cant control a ball" Crouch? £5mill for a "potencial" 17 year old Arron Ramsey?

Loric Cana is rated at £6mill to £12mill. If Huddlestone is £10mill, I know who'd I want even though I like Huddleston.

Does ayone else hate the thought of giving Spurs money, part of their strategy has always been to snap up good players, if they want to keep them great, but if not just keep them untill you can make a mint on them.

Take Huddlestone, he probably signed for buttons and now they will get a big wedge for him, it really doen encourage them to snap up all the young talent.

Makes you think when some dont want to spend 5 mill on Ramsey.

10 million is too much. I'd buy him for around 5-7 million. Anything around that price is a good move.

He's a very unique player. No English player can pass like him. Not Gerrard, Lampard or Beckham. None of them even come close. He can pass short and long, crossfield and can see a through ball. He reminds me of a bigger version Scholes.

Technically he's very good. Good touch, gets the ball out of his feet and makes the pass. If he's on form and fully fit he has the ability to run a game and be a very effective player.

Fitness and lack of mobility are his only problems. Fitness can be sorted whereas his role and style isn't really about mobility. Pirlo isn't mobile, Carrick isn't mobile and neither is Scholes. All deep lying players need are passing ability, vision, intelligence and the ability to retain possession. He has all the attributes mentioned.

His sheer height and build would also be useful. I think we need a deep lying play maker if we are going to move up that next level. Somone who drops deep, demands the ball and makes the passes. Every top team has one and its needed. A player who can Link defense to attack would cut out the hoofing.
