I expected Baines to come back in tbf.

As I did. He's started what, all but 1 in the last 3 months? Got Tosun and Bernard right, too. Really would have thought McCarthy would be higher in the pecking order than Davies and Gomes could do with time on the sidelines, as much as I like him: https://www.grandoldteam.com/forum/...ort-and-motm-poll.106175/page-25#post-6818954

I thought Gana would be in and would play a 4-2-3-1 but without him I'm surprised its not 3 at the back.

You still have the worst underperformer between the sticks though :(
It wouldn't take very many minutes to realise Pickford at his worst is still ahead of Stek at his best.

That team is crap

So we'll win this.

Farewell Gana, you gave us many many happy memories, lots of tracking, running, tackling....you just missed out the important bit which was passing the round thing to a team mate but you will be fondly remembered

Pickford not to blame, Yes he was to blame at the RS and that Spurs goal. He's saved us more than he has screwed up.

I begs to differ.

Pickford is the root cause of the uncertainty in the defence IMO.

I have not seen him make a save he had no right to make in a good while....and he has been at fault in more than those two games.

The first goal at Millwall for example.

Davies may not be as good as our other midfield options but I trust him more than any of them to run himself into the ground for the shirt...might be what we need right now? Gana still needs replacing if he’s off though because we need more for the rest of the season

If we drop Siggurdson back for a 3 man midfield, it should be fine.

We sold Barry and didnt replace him two summers ago. We don't have a midfield.

Didn’t replace him effectively. Schneiderlin was seen as an upgrade on him before he permanently downed tools after a couple of months of football. Then it was Klaasenn, then when it was evident he was a pub player we tried Rooney back there.

To think in 13/14 we thought we had two thirds of a class midfield nailed down for the next 10 years. Ha.
