How's your day going ?

9 months of being utterly beasted at work. I've worked every weekend, most evenings, couple of weeks ago took a week holiday and ended up working 10 hours a day every day.

Found a new job. Stuck in my notice in August citing lack of support as the reason which my boss took as a personal attack as the CEO had a go at him about it (ffs) so boss has been a prick for the past 2 months.

And today at 4pm I finally reached the point where I could sack off work for the rest of the day safe in the knowledge that there was no more work to do today. It felt so good. And only 3 weeks until my notice is up.

So, yeh, today was a good day ta. Appreciate you asking.

Thanks for asking :

Got today off, so it’s a long weekend for me, mate!

That's mad. How many peoples' job have you been doing?

Took my daughter shopping for return to school for her last year.

Skint, tired and a bit emotional, that’s just me. Caught a glimpse of my reflection in the body length mirrors in the hideously bright shops in the Trafford centre. And didn’t recognise myself.

Awful.
This just reminded me when i was in TJ Hughes years ago,
I nearly bumped into some guy, sidestepped and said sorry mate,
It was me in the mirror

And in 2 weeks you let the ceo know exactly this, and take the last week off with stress so they go under the bus the pair.

A 'boss' is there to work you to death, lining you up doing something they are somehow above, one of my favourite pass times was working the boss/manager/supervisor over, sometimes quick, sometimes slow, but always with a good twist of the knife. Who knew the added glee anonymous online reviews of employers could provide, enough detail to let them know you did work there but not significant info to 100% pin it on you, and the use of a persons initials to highlight the who and why so as to almost name and shame.
Get your revenge in first, and last and then get gone.
