Funny, 'gay' isn't the word that sprang to my mind when I watched the match. Goalie outfits have a tendency to look like they were picked up for pennies at a school jumble sale, thought Howard's new look was something of an improvement.

I'm also hoping he never reads this. He's married with 2 kids and a devout Christian - attends the same evangelical church that my mum attended before she died - she met him a couple of times. Given how pissed off he's been looking recently reading threads like this could be all it takes to convince him to ditch his career in football and take up missionary work in some far off god forsaken rat-hole like say, Newcastle Utd.
