Yeah seen this today of all the stupid rumours that are made up-this is one of the worst considering he loves it here and villa of all teams lol, next very stupid story should be up tomorrow or whenever

Said it many times before, I appreciate Neiler a lot as a member of GOT. We seem to have the same view on a lot of subjects regarding Everton, but in our valuation of Tim Howard we are lightyears apart. personally, I wouldn't swap him against any other goalkeeper in the Premiership. 90% of them aren't even allowed to stand in the shadow of Tim Howard and the other 10% wouldn't really mean an improvement in my eyes, so what's the point in that?

If you look at all the top keepers (VDS, Reina this year, Cech etc) they have all had long spells of bad patches. Timmy wasn't that good in the beginning of the season however he hardly was the only one who started out bad. He's been good lately and saved our hides a couple times this month.

All national bias aside, Howard is going to finish his career at Everton. It's that simple. Moyes loves him and Howard loves Everton. I really can't think of many keepers that I'd rather have. He looks awfully shaky at time but who doesn't? He's going to be in blue (or three shades of green) for awhile so no need dragging this one out. Look at Mucha - he's probably a fine keeper but we'll never know because he doesn't play. Once you make the Moyes List, you're in the lineup.

Pepe the clown just made a save for the rs when Van Persie was through on goal at an angle down the left, he stood tall and saved it.

Howard would of flapped his arms and fell backwards on his ass as the ball went in the net.

Howard is an Evertonian for life. The only thing I can see is if Moyes has a private conversation with him at the end of his career and nudges him back to MLS to come home and when he's no longer going to be #1 here. He's not going to play for another English team ever.

It would be unfair to stand in the lads way to honest, good move for him:

Laughing here.

That is one of the worst rumours I've seen for beards. It's clearly made up by someone, how do they do that? Do they need so many rumours from the sports department and they have to keep on guessing until one of them is right one day and they can claim it as an exclusive? What utter tits, I wish them face AIDS.

A top premiership keeper this season said "99% of what is written about goalkeepers is nonsense." That was actually Tim said that and quite frankly some of the stuff written in this very thread prove that!

Pepe would be put in that 90% I mentioned in my earlier post.

Are you actually saying Howard is better than Reina? Seriously.

Surely putting all bias aside he isn't. Howard is in the group of good solid prem keepers, good at some things but poor at others. Basically he is the Everton of keepers.

IMO anyway.

And my comment was referring to this where instead of standing up tall against Van Persie he flaps his arms and falls on his ass :http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qYML03NmBYY

Reina gets way, way too much credit.

Don't get me wrong, as a shot stopper, he's almost unrivalled. But people tend to remember these fantastic close range saves, but forget, and pay a lot less attention to, positional marking, aerial dominance and so on. He's rather poor in these aspects. You see him flapping at the ball and losing it all the time. Thankfully for him, he's usually got a very well marshalled defence in front of him. I hate to say it, but Carragher is a fantastic defender and a fantastic defensive organiser, much like Jags for us.

Now, Howard before this season has always been in the upper echelon of keepers for me. His shot stopping is quality, but not quite as good as Reina's. But in terms of aerial dominance, organisation and reading of the game, he tops Reina, for me. It's easy to forget Howard's strengths after a season with numerous poor moments for him, but perhaps he just needs a rest? He does seem to play non-stop.

Yes mate, I'm seriously saying that and that's just my opinion.

Every goalkeeper makes mistake and I've also seen some howlers by Reina in the past. Just like Hart, Cech, Given etc...etc...
