Really? I thought we were really poor. Though Howard himself didn't do a huge ammount wrong.

The performance against norwich which most on here viewed as a nadir I thought was better then the one yesterday.

Really poor ? What game were you watching ffs !

Even Villas Boas said we were the better team in the first half, and Spurs weren't bad.

He was okay yesterday, didn't think he was at fault for the goal, even if a better keeper perhaps could've saved it.

Let's not pretend he's been outstanding in recent outings though and bigging his performances up more than is merited; he's improved on his dire early season form and is at least getting the majority of the basics right but he hasn't had to do too much!

Garth Crooks;

"If ever there was a goalkeeping performance that kept a team in with a chance then this was it. All the headlines will go to match-winner Nikica Jelavic but had it not been for Tim Howard who produced a string of fine saves, including one from Clint Dempsey, the outcome would almost certainly have been different. Instead, Howard's performance was the catalyst to an amazing turnaround."

I must be missing something.

the only save i remember was that pea-roller from sandro. what dempsey save, someone remind me?

...ah wait, he saved that vertonghan free kick, done well with it but it was straight at him

Are people being seriosu about the spurs goal? I'm not exactly a big fan but there was absolutely nothing more he could've done.

If he was standing where the ball went he would have saved it but you can say that about literally every goal ever.

Baffling. He had one good(ish) save, the one from Veronghen (i think).. it went hard but was pretty much straight at him.

String of fine saves? We had double the number of shots on target as him, I doubt he even watched the match.

Pretty sure we're just having a laugh mate, I know I was.

He's still gash.
