This exactly. People talk like he's been gash for years. He's been very good for us in the past. This season, he's been poor. He's not the only one. His mistakes get magnified because he's a keeper. Osman's miss is just as big as Howard's missed save. I'm not defending Howard. He's been horrible for most of this season, but it's not like he always has been...

Agree with this too. Howard has been a great goalkeeper for us, but clearly this season has struggled. Osman has cost us twice now with two appalling misses. Stoke on Saturday and Reading away the other week. I'm more pissed off with Osman's pathetic attempts at goal than the odd Howard mistake.

Remember when we had Howard, Wessels, Turner and Ruddy all in the squad? The 3 reserve keepers all battling it out to get a Carling cup match etc, made Howard a better goal keeper, and gave Howard a rest a few times too
 
I really dont think competition has got anything to do with it. He has just lost it. It happens.

And he hasnt been bad just this season. He was poor for a lot of last season. Before that he did well for us.
