Neiler

Player Valuation: £100m
Howard Webb will take charge of Sunday's Merseyside derby.

Two players were sent off in the Goodison derby in October, but Webb has issued just one red card this season in the Premier League.

Webb also has one of the lower bookings-per-game figures, showing an average of 2.43 yellow cards per match.

He took charge of the Manchester derby at Old Trafford this season, with the visiting City side winning 2-1. The only Everton game he officiated was also at Old Trafford, when Man Utd won 2-1 in December.

David Moyes' side are statistically the most disciplined side in the Premier League, with Liverpool in third place.

The Toffees have received by far the fewest yellow cards in the Premier League, averaging less than one per game.

Before the last derby I thought Clattenburg was a reasonable ref but how wrong I was. Given a choice I would have picked Webb so fingers crossed eh

I was quite pleased when i heard P.C Howard Webb was the ref but you know what its like when ya play at Analfield. Ref's seem to be easily swayed and all rules change when its 'Stevie G laa whats Carra's hope like' diving and shouting the odds at the ref. We all seen his verbal abuse towards 'Law and Order' Steve Bennett last week andf not even a telling off. Prick!!!

As always though, if the Blues peform and get at them then hopefully we wont need to talk about the ref afterwards and we can drink until our livers tell us otherwise!!

Come on you tricky Toffees

I think hes a good ref, i watched him in the Manchester dearby and thought he did a good job, not to card happy, but nothing is nailed on when it comes to refs and the [Poor language removed]!

Intresting to note we have the lowest number of yellow cards in the leauge, shows a great evolution in our style of play in recent yeaars we were almost top of the pile for the last few seasons.

Or maybe just because Super Tim has been injured.

Is the fairplay place still up for grabs in Europe via the intertotto?

I think so mate, but you go into a draw with about another ten leauges for the privalage, not sure if we are top of the overall leauge taking into account red cards, it just mentions yellows above. Im sure if we were the offical site would have mentioned it as the article above i ripped from there.

No I was thinking it could have helped the [Poor language removed]:lol::lol:

He was the best ref in the prem last year (well except for that goal in which Tevez was 10 yards offside against blackburn). However I think he has fallen off alot this year. Though its way better than Clattenberg.

I thought without doubt he favoured the home side for lnstance after issuing a fist full of cards to us then Gerard stands on Carsley and he does zilch:@

I think he controlled the game well, considering it was a derby...Yes he may have gave us yellow cards which to be fair were deserved, he just didnt give many to Liverpool...

I htought he was good throughout, got most decisions correct, only Jagilkea didnt deserve a yellow, and carragher should've got a yellow card for one of his tackles.

He wasnt great, by any means, but as i have said, its never easy to referee a derby, especially a merseyside derby, and he succeeded, i think he would be happy with his performance

Sorry dont agee nearly every 50-50 descison went there way when Gerrard stood on Carsley he lays on but earler he booked cars when a warning would have been enough and the booking when the liverpool player put his head down as the ball was about to be kicked was pathetic.
