He has played 292 games for us and we paid 3 million so it obviously is a good signing. I think we'd get a decent fee if we sold him too. He hasn't been as good this season overall but he has had a few better games lately.

he's had a bit of a crap season by his standards but overall he's been a good keeper. Could be worse remember paul gerrard.

We are only here because I was scared Tim Howard had signed a new contract for 5 extra years.


Look fact is Tim Howard is an alright goalkeeper. But in the same way Joseph Yobo was an alright defender.

We've just moved on and could do with a better keeper.

However, there are far worse keepers than Howard. Lets make that clear.

Good signing , Wouldnt of give him a 4 year deal in march though. 2 years with the view to another extension (Kept on toes) based on form then would of been ideal , with the wage figures coming out the other day i think its time we got a bit more pruder with these contracts and older players. bye bye neville etc

Yes. Absolutely as happy. As most in here have said, he is an above average prem keeper, came on a very reasonable fee, and has been been an excellent shot stopper who has remained healthy for years. Also don't lose sight of the fact that without him, the side would be far more unsettled, and we never would have had Landon Donovan or a large number of fans in the US who have found the blue side of Mersey thanks to Howard and Donovan.

Yes, I'm a yank, and I'd love to see us bring in some competition, but we've yet been able to bring anyone in to challenge him, and that includes World Cup keepers like mucha and other prem starters like ruddy and hahnnemen.
