I disagree with that.
(But not the bit about the EPL atmosphere being dire in general)
The crowd was pumped up from the start on Saturday......but the players were pretty cautious and there was no great tempo in the first half.
They were sent out with a game plan and they adhered to it despite the frenetic atmosphere in the ground.
And everyone understood that and the players did what they had to do, stifle Chelsea, and the crowd did what they had to do, intimidate them.
Whether you like it or not, as Fresh Prince says, any crowd at any EPL ground is going to be more up for the likes of Chelsea or United coming to town than they are when Bournemouth or Norwich come a' calling.
It is just human nature.
