Homepage Article How To Solve A Problem Like Club View?

I wouldn’t wait if I were you.

Feedback pressure on the experience and the need for improvement needs to be immediate and consistently applied on each visit(if/when applicable).

If you leave it they will just shrug and think the problem has gone away or people are not bothered.

I’m doing the same with my Village St membership which is good on the whole but some things still need to be better.

Nil Satis Nisi Optimum should apply on and off the pitch IMHO.
I get it, but each to their own. I'll give them a chance to put it right for the Villa game in 18 days of so.

I’m in there with my dad. Firstly the seats are great but I think that is true of basically anywhere in the stadium. Got a drink at the E-Bar really quickly when we got in about 45 minutes before the game but the queues for the main bar were huge. Half time the queues for the E-bar and the main bar were really long. I think the E-bar situation will improve quickly though as people get used to them. There were also staff there handing out the cups to speed up the process.

As has been mentioned it’s stupid to have a retail shop in there, it should be another bar. They also need some tables. Stand up ones rather than seated but there should be some.

Getting in to the toilets was fine and they were clean.

I’ll hold off on judging too much as it’s the first game and there were always going to be teething issues but it needs to improve pretty quickly. Although not really sure how they can add in more F&B stalls during the season. Maybe put in a couple of little stalls that just sell water and soft drinks to help the queues at the main bar.

Nothing stopping all supporters on level 3 entering Club View from there seats, regardless of turnstiles used, this may have added to the excessive queues for food and drink. Maybe.
This definitely happens, have a few friends sitting just outside the club view border and they had received emails about the Club View £10 credit being awarded to their account before the game. Had multiple people walk through my row in block 323 and all the way through the next block before sitting down as well, definitely not in Club View but came out of the "private" concourse.

That list of complaint from so many different people is pretty damning, very much one way traffic. Think Wizards constructive suggestion of putting temp water and soft drink kiosks up is useful. The other glaring issue seems to be the segregation of the area isn't policed, so it's a free for all for those who either want to see what they're missing, got lost in the new stadium, or had issues with other queues so decided to have a run at the 'CV' zone. Proper stocking of the respective bars will mean people don't take matters into their own hands and try to get the drinks their party wants elsewhere, and so the knock on effect rolls from bar to bar with people grumbling.
What are we talking about, numerous cases of bottled water and some Pepsi's? There's an actual Costco over the road, hot weather and 53k people. It's not brain surgery.

The issues with missing stock came out repeatedly in the match thread.

'CV' is £1200, - £190 with your matchly drinks tenner, and how much is a program? £5? so the prime seat is paid for with the remainder (£915/19 = £48.29 per home match)

How does that figure stack vs other season tickets?

Also;

"I disagree with a lot of the steps Everton have rushed out within hours of the final whistle. I mean, expand the retail offering?"

I reckon the avalanche of grumbling meant the club needed a response and quick. To call it rushed is a touch unfair, they have at least acknowledged there's an issue and have sought to put the cash value voucher issue to bed asap. The retail offering is just bluster and the lack of accessibility is a proper concern because not everyone is fit and able for numerous flights of stairs.

I have heard a few stories of buying season tickets, you picked your spec, you chose the price, you paid your money, and that was that.

Unfortunately for quite a number, that wasn't that. Because the fan zone designations hadn't been applied clearly and obviously, there's a load of supporters that had picked the family area and so because their ticket didn't correspond with a junior ticket their ticket was not valid...

"but you've took my money, I want my ticket, all the others specs are sold out now, you're well out of order!"

Is this where club view got invented? The club recognised an error in ticket sales to late and had a load of disgruntled people on their hands.
"Slice up one of the corporate floors, special zones for the number that've decided to upgrade". Because...

"The club can't do anything about ticket derivations at this late hour, but we acknowledge the error in good faith, we have an upgraded option if you are interested where...(the cv stuff is sold as great value) and if your prepared to pay the extra £500 odd, you're sweet for the season in a 'premium' fan zone?"

If CV has been invented late to cover misaligned fan seat choices and then it was rolled out late, it would explain the paucity of options, the lack of segregation to their 'premium' zone (if this is the case), no escalator, and a last thought at the last minute to roll out a big enough and well staffed and stocked bar for them.

If this has occurred because of the ticket choice allocation then it speaks to a problem of website use and design to make clear the buying options.

This is only a guess, based on a few facts and stories from those that one week were happy as larry and then the week next were grumbling good n proper.

I'm assuming Club view tomorrow is just a standard ticket as thats what ive purchased. Can I wonder to any other parts of the ground or are you literally only allowed in that particular area?
You can go to other areas, but you'll have to go to a different concourse entrance as there is no way to visit floor 2 concourse from the Club View one.

Club View was announced in November last year.

….apparently Club View ST holders are getting £20 credit to spend at Villa game. My son got an e-mail from the club apologising for any problems and stating they’re striving to get things right. He got a programme.

If this is the worst of teething issues following the opening of such a huge development, then it’s not too bad.

Thing is people couldn't use the £10 last game. So it's just transferred over to the next - it's not really a credit. Just letting fans use what they couldn't last game.

£10 program inside... Don't normally get program theses days. First one etc. Our season ticket was round £730 each in North stand dozen rows up just behind the goal.

Only first game that mate as a bumper edition. It's £4 for the rest.

Not sure how this one gets solved if someone it seems has cocked up their area per fan calculations! They will have assumed a % stay in their seats during half time and perhaps based that on it being a normal stand rather than a hospitality one.
