Just wondering how much the feeling on here represents the feelings of the wider fan base.

Not living in the city anymore its hard to judge on some issues, i personally feel that this forum is a pretty accurate reflection but again its hard to judge not being there.
Difficult to judge simply basing a study on the opinions of internet weirdos mate.

It’s a bit like radio phone-ins, you’ve got to question the mentality of majority who phone in.

Similar on here, grown men unable to sleep and wetting the bed about relegation before sam was appointed. Unbelievable.

Full grown men voting for Unsworth to be given the big job with no top flight managerial experience and despite the option of Simone or Ancelotti in the voting.
If bothered enough to register here & express regular, coherent, sensible opinion it’s probable you have a semblance of passion for the Club & it’s likely Everton is in your heart.

That doesn’t mean it’s an accurate barometer of the feelings shared by the majority of the Everton fan base.

I know loads of Blues outside of the forums who would give Chippy Tits another season - the absolute cranks.

Some still think Mirallas was hard done by!

There are some valuable contributors here & some very funny ones too. Lots of repetition though owing to the large numbers of posters & long threads.
Pushing the boat out there mate

Just ignore anything WOOLS say mate

Keyboard warriors on toast.

For example the average Everton fan, local or not, was quite ok with the Kenwright & Moyes-era. Obviously pissed off at certain results and that, but overall nothing like the scathing criticisms we saw on these boards before Mosh came.

Same with certain players like Leon Osman, who most non-forum dwelling fans quite liked.
Defo ignore this beaut

If your average Evertonian loves cheese on toast and frequents The Lisbon, then this place is a pretty accurate reflection.

Not at all.
For instance, at the moment there's a small and noisy group of half-baked loons on here who are trying to get Sizeable Sam replaced for Comedy effect.
You have to wonder about their motivations.

The poll would suggest this is not far from the truth...

The most extreme of our internet warriors on here are the type of chap whom vented their spleen, back in the 20th, by firing off angry letters to the Pink Echo.

And ol’ Khal should know.....he is a published veteran of many a Foul Tackle from Tommy rotten Smith

If I paid my money and attended matches regularly, I'd feel more entitled to criticise.

There's a soupcon of guilt there as I sit in the comfort of the TV room, Guinness in hand, going Booooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooohhhhh........

I think there is something for everyone on this forum and the majority of members are fair, reasonable, and intelligent people.

There is always room for a bit of banter on the side but I find it mostly in good taste and I think the quality of debate and discussion here, ranging from football to business and financial matters, to be informative and thought-provoking. Most particularly on the stadium and club accounts/financials, without dropping names.

Overall, I think the membership is as about as representative of the wider fanbase as can be. Both in terms of background, age, match-going or non match-going, season ticket holders, and breath of knowledge and interests.

There are others outside the forum whose opinions I value and whom are a good barometer for opinion - I won't name names but I guess there are a small variety of sources that I take Everton news and opinions from, and GOT is certainly one.
