Brennan

Player Valuation: £90m
Bit of a random thread.

With the bumper TV rights possibly amounting to £30m per season depending on who you talk to, and the fact that we lost £9m last season, there should be no reason for the squad not to see some form of net spend (money spent without player sales to fund transfers).

I mean, with all this extra money, and the fact that season ticket sales have increased along with a new sponsorship deal, we should see some good spending in the Summer.

Right ?

Wrong. The extra TV money will filter it's way into the players and their agents pockets with them demanding better contracts.

Repeat ad infinitum.

You are aware that £30m amounts to £567,923 per week in wages. Right ?

Would take a while for that to happen even if what you say is true (which i don't think it is).

Brennan, your obviously blinded by the Net spend.
Swansea are in Europe next season, as are Milwall / Wigan..
Whats there Net Spend then mate ????

Fellaini might decide he's gone as far as he can with us. I can't see Moyes signing unless Bill gives him a substantial (£15m) net spend either. So, potentially there could be £45m in the pot. Kenwright/Elstone will include wages in any deal but that could be the headline figure. Negredo was £13m, Fer was £8.6m and Lescott is £4m. We'd still be left with about £20m.

I'm positive that there will be major transfer activity at Everton this summer.
