How much longer will it be before you admit that...

Bily is the new Osman, some fans seem to always get on his back at the first oppurtunity. He's clearly a confidence player but often in order to gain confidence one has to do something that has a positive effect first, and when you play out of position, that task becomes even harder.
It's clear that he has talent, but I doubt it'll ever be unlocked. He comes across as a really nice guy (media and twitter) but I have to say if someone came in with a bid of around £ 5-6 million for example, I think we should certainly consider it.
Arteta will come good again.

My only problem with the idea of moving Arteta is that he probably isn't worth much on the open market these days. It makes more sense for us to keep him around and hope he can regain his form than to sell him at this low point.

Bily on the hand, maybe a team back in Russia would be interested in him. I like the kid alot but he just doesn't seem to be able to get things going here so far.

i`d keep both and play billy right in the middle up front and i cant believe people wanna get rid of Arteta - you will eat your words before the season is out

arteta s form i think is temporary( finger s crossed) i think there is alot more in the mix behind the scenes with him than just a lack of form ...niggling injury ...maybe his heart was set on a move ...who9 knows but billy on the other hand has me puling the hair out of my bald head ????????:)

there is a goal in him but reality means he aint gonna score every game so he doesnt offer a lot outside of this

i lke to see him given a chance in a diffrent position before i hammer the nail in his prem coffin as wide left doesnt suit him in the premiership

to be fair to bily he rarly gets to play in his best/chosen postion(cm am) and is exposed by moyse playing him wide this then leads to fan frustration on the lad all a bit harsh if moyse doesnt think hes good enough for his best postion why buy in the first place we should then offload him asap.

as for atreta can anybody name the last time he played well on consitant level ?was it before he got injured?or before he became our highest payed player?

arteta is still quality - i'd back him 100%

billy is proper sh!t

I agree bily has no heart and is a bottler.Bily will look back on his career when he has retired and think i had skill i just wish i put some effort and desire into it.

The guy has represented his country on many, many occassions and played football at the highest of levels. I'm sure he'll have regrets at the end of his career, but whether it's over not putting enough effort and desire into it or if it's choosing to try his hand at the Premiership instead of going to Serie A or La Liga where I'd think he'd get more time I'm not sure..

He has played as a winger for the national team as well so I'm not really sure I buy into the whole argument that he'd be class if played in his preferred position.
I can see him getting some more time now though with both Tiny Tim and Fellaini out for a longer period, but whether him or Osman goes on the wing I know who I'd prefer at the moment. One consistently shows heart and dedication, the other looks woefully dull whenever thrown in.

I'm just scared Johnny H will be asked to play in a holding role again.. Then again, there's not really that many alternatives.

I worry to about johnny h i would rather put neville in there and bring in hibbert. It just shows what a job moysie has got and what a mess bullshine has put us in when we have 2 injuries and we are stuggling to replace them what a farce of a club

Bring back the Yak, we've always looked like we can't get things happening in the final third and he was always good at making something out of nothing on his own in that area of the pitch. I'm not saying he'd come in and do that straight away, but you know he can and our options up front are very limited.

I'm really quite surprised people are talking about putting Billy in the middle. He's being outpaced and outmuscled on the wing, what makes anyone think this won't happen in the middle where the pace of the game is far more frenetic, where there are far more physical battles going on?
The poor lad is not too dissimilar to Osman, in so much that he is a technically talented footballer, but his DNA lets him down. Sadly, while he's probably a better footballer than Ossie, he doesn't have the same tenacity. Osman, while physically dominated in many games, picks himself off, dusts himself off and gets on with it. Billy just drifts out of the game.
So many people moan about Osman being weak on the ball, well Billy is weaker and yet he's 5 inches taller and probably a stone heavier. He needs to start becoming more physical and unfortunately, that's a mental issue I think and one that he just can't get over. He's testosteronally challenged!!

What Billy is, in my opinion, is a luxury player. A Sheedy type who, in a good side creating lots of space, would have the time to put that precision pass through to a front man, but he's not a grafter and doesn't suit us right now.

Bily is weak and scared of the game and is not fit to lace sheedys boots.Bily just ambles around does something for about 30 seconds then hides.

You're taking me too literally here, I'm saying he's like Sheedy in so much that he's not going to be a defensive player, someone who tracks back and gets stuck in to the battles, but he's the sort of player who will cause maximum damage with time and space on the ball.
I'm certainly not suggesting he's as good a player as Sheedy ever was.
Sheeds used to go missing in some games, the difference being that because of his own quality and the quality he had around him, he'd then get the ball with 10 yards of space around him, he'd take a touch and then put a ball right on Sharpy's head, bang, goal, game over.
