How much longer will it be before you admit that...

Every manager makes signings that dont always work. I dont blame Moyes, because on his day Bily can be a handful. Problem is he doesn't have enough of them to be worth what we paid.

Hes a confidence player and doesnt play often, and when he is played its not in his best position.

I always thought extending Arteta's contract was a mistake...not because I don't/didn't rate him but 75k a week is way out of our price range. That's close to 4mil a year. If we'd got 8-10m for him then it would've made financial sense to let him go. Also he's one of many players who's 29+ (Distin, hibbert, neville, cahill, osman, saha, yak, yobo). If we do end up selling our younger players (Fellaini, Rodwell, Bily, heitinga) we'll have one of the oldest teams in the league. Also wish we hadn't extended Saha's contract. He was terrible in the second half of last year and first half of this. Not sure his run of 6 good games justifies paying him 50k a week for the last 18 months and next 18.

like Dom said- billy needs to be played in the proper EFFECTIVE place not where his game will suffer. anyone who saw his goal against man u last season would want to keep him round that danger area as much as possible- `cept moyles

To be honest, Portsmouth is probably the best example! What a finish that was. To be honest all his finishes have been very good

I'm surprised no ones mentioned Phil Neville. You can bang on and on about his leadership, but his defensive qualities have been useless, he's hardly in the opposing half and he long balls at every opportunity. I'd honestly like to see Hibbert back there or Coleman given his chance there - he honestly can't be any worse than Neville. I'm not making him a scapegoat - this has gone on for months.

We lack anything up front unless Saha is in the mood and I think he performs a lot better with a striker by his side. Billy hasn't gotten any better, like some have said he looks more suited to a different league, because the ability is there - either that or he's got to be tried in a different position. The commentator last night said that Baines looked like our best attacking player and I've got to admit, with regards to the entire season, that's spot on.

I could ramble on and on, but overall, I think most of our players are quality and they're just not showing it nearly enough.

Billy looked lost and one paced last night. His confidence isn't helped by people getting on his back, but in fairness he did cozt 10million! Gueye would have produced more and that's saying something!

Wouldve been goal of the season but the votes had already been done :(

Beginning to have my doubts about Bily making it in the Prem. I like him, some of his goals have been my best moments as an Evertonian over the last year or so, but I think someone elsewhere said they're not sure they've ever seen such an obviously talented player so obviously unsuited to the English game. Sad about it, to be honest, but I'd be thinking about selling him at the moment. Moyes obviously doesn't see him fitting in.

As for Arteta, I'm still sticking to my theory that it's something to do with being a dad for the first time. I've seen friends be like different people that first year of fatherhood... no sleep, difficult times with the Mrs, major, major life change. I'm prepared to give him a bit more time myself as we know he's class. He was excellent last season and every one before. I think his problems are mental.

Someone should remind him the better he plays, the more he gets payed (the higher the chance of moving to bigger clubs etc) and the better future he will have for his children.

To be honest i think Arteta needs to change position, just to freshen him up abit, make him abit more active

Intresting thought who has contirbuted more since their signing Billy or Coleman?

Staggering difference in price.

It is

Coleman has contributed a lot more looking at this season, but Bily scored the winning goal in 6 games last season if I remember rightly....(I'm bound to be wrong) ;-)

I can't see Coleman becoming a regular scorer, but he must be racking up the assists this year? Maybe?

Seamus is obviously by far the better performer this season, but I guess you could argue, what could Bily have done, sat on the bench til December

As for Arteta, has to be his worst season for us by a mile. He will come good though, he has too

Ones playing in the right position ones playing in the wrong...Yes Coleman has a bigger effect, but stats wise, well you have to go with Bily tbh

Arteta is a quality player, one of the best playmakers around.

Bily, I don't believe will ever adjust to this league. He'll have to go soon.
