I was not really for this, but now that it's happened, I hope it goes well. But I think fewer than ten goals (not the only thing he should be contributing, to be sure), mostly because I doubt his fitness will hold up all year.

If Roo-turn (to use the parlance of our stupid times) is to happen, I don't see how it could be on much more favourable terms for us. Even still, the hit to the wage bill is probably wasted on the likes of him, though apparently money means nothing anymore.

I'd be much more irked if we didn't have all those European fixtures, which I always love, but I hope the kids will get a run out too, certainly during the early stages. They deserve to play for us much more than Rooney does.
