How long do we stick with Jelavic???

Drop him if Anichebe is fit. Stick him in the reserves. He's not performing, harsh but he deserves to be dropped.

Don't agree with this 'bad service' thing going round, every time Jela has been given 'good service' he has skyed the ball, aimed for the keeper, or completely miss hit it.

Also I doubt Vellios is going to be around much longer if we don't give him game time pretty soon. He will be entering his last year with us in June.

I said the same thing last week before the Reading game.

Play Pienaar more centrally, we saw when Mirallas scored the 3rd goal how easy it was to get though the oppositions defence with a killer ball. Pienaar can do that for Jelavic (providing he is sharp enough) again, it happened last year when he was slotting nearly every week. Why can't we see that again?

4-2-3-1, be bold and drop Osman, play Oviedo on the left, Mirallas on the right (can swap if need be), Pienaar in the middle.

I also think we'll see very few Jelavic goals until something is done about the tactics, Saturday's win was a huge step in the right direction and reminded me of how we were last year and at the start of the season. I don't doubt Jelavic's ability for a second, but he's no Suarez (sorry for saying that), he can't create chances for himself and can't run around defenders., he's not that sort of player. He still can be a world class finisher, but he needs the service.

The fact remains, if he is running the channels then Moyes needs to change the team round, as it's clearly not working for him. Mirallas might be our shining light if it all goes tits up, he might give us the goals we need.

Not good enough, needs to be benched! I would run my effin stonks off for everton but it dont mean I should get a game! And all this he is good for the team is a load of crap...he is there to score goals and he aint doin it. IMO we bought a dud...he cant even do the simple things

At this moment in time i would play big Vic, he looks sharp and i always feel he will score goals.

To be fair, that repeated attitude would mean very few new threads. Although we appreciate the community moderating itself, relax a bit and leave the moderating to the moderators mate.

Andy, in answer - I'd be inclined to say 2, within reason. We don't have many options do we?

Made up the real authorities have caught up with these bogus Police Officers. It wasn't doing the community any good and thank god they aren't mods. :)

Back on thread.

Jelavic is playing well, without scoring I'd stck with him until goals stop coming from
elsewhere. Victor has been in good goal scoring form but is only a knock away from 2 weeks out at a time.

We need a new striker this summer even if Jelavic started to score goals. He cannot be relied on. Hope the club have scouts working all over Europe for a decent striker, they can be found.
Baa
Cisse
Christian Benteke

We do need another striker in the summer but hopefully it will be a No.10 style striker, someone who can play off the striker and up front in a lone striker role.

Someone like Rooney would be perfect!

Don't think we have much choice other than sticking with jelavic currently.
Vic's a better impact sub
Vellios is rubbish!

Vic is injured every other game. How do you know Vellios is rubbish?

Because Iv watched him...

Rubbish is very harsh tbh. It's just my reaction to the over hype he gets on here.
Tbf to him he looks promising, he needs a years loan somewhere. He comes on for us with mins remaining and his job is to be a pest try flick things on. As soon as he has to do anything else you can see he's poor. Coming back to pick the ball up ect, he's like a lost puppy.

That's not his fault he's not ready and needs first team footy, just not with us yet!

You've watched him as much as I and many other supporters have, which isn't a lot of minutes for the first team at all, no reason he can't be given a run, he has scored for the first team, and isn't injury prone like Anichebe.

For me you play when your on form and go out the side when your not.

Just because someone has a few games on the bench doesn't mean we need to sell them.

It's about competition and using your squad. I think he looks absolutely fooked lately and could do with coming on fresh as defenders tire just to get a few better chances.
