Yep, we were great from adversity - from 10th place mid-season to the end. The Us against Them Mentality works when you've been sh1t and got nothing to lose. He just didn't have it in him to do it when the stakes were higher. I've defended most areas of Moyes' management here, not all, by any means, but you've made a very good point there.

It's annoying isn't it but if I was you I wouldn't worry, United are already showing signs of being a LESSER team and being put back in there rightful place.

The players bottled it against Palace, the lineup Martinez picked was, albeit surprising, more than sufficient to win that game, even if Palace have been playing out of their skin of late.
To me, "bottling it" is more of a mental thing than a physical one and that's where Moyes let us down.

Martinez said after the Palace game that there was some nervous or fear with the amongst the player, so they talked it throught and now it's gone. TBF to the players we spent 11 years failing important games, in fact if you look at the whole of Moyes reign when did we play the best? When the champs league was gone. He did great things for this club but he couldn't go up a level
