I was there for the 82 rush fest and, while not expecting that level of win, I absolutely expect that we should come out on Sunday and grab them by the footballing throat.

I started following Everton in 1969....why? I could go on about Shamrock Rovers, Peter Farrell, Tommy Eglinton and all that tradition as well as the dark period from 1970 to 1984. Everton used to come to play Rovers in a friendly every year from about 1966 to 1972.

The 70s were bleak especially with that shower doing so well. We were pretty mediocre. We Irish Toffees kept the Faith.

You have not lived to see EFC lifting a major trophy ..yet!

This will change!

i do believe, under martinez now - even if he doesn't bring the silverwear himself, he's set the club up properly looking towards the future. i watched him do the exact same thing with swansea about a decade ago! We deserve to be back amongst the elite.
