Did anyone see the usa play spain tonight and how did bradley play?(y)

I was in and out on the game. Didn't see enough to paint a good picture but I saw a nice saving tackle, some calm possession, ok touch with the passes and one rash tackle.

By the way, Adu had a nifty game showing nice passing vision and some wonderful touch and gile. Howard wasn't really challenged in the parts of the first 45 that I saw. Made my way back around 55 and he was out so I assume he was subbed at half. He kept the first 45 clean.

Much better than the England game but the pace of the game was a bit slower.

If he moves to Everton, he'll need a bit of time to adapt to the pace of the English League.

I opened a thread on this game yesterday but didn't get a chance to get back on line after the match.
Yeah. A bit of a mixed bag. Some nice moments with good tackles and backtracking, but also gave the ball away cheaply a few times. On one of those occasions he had to foul the opponent and got booked for his troubles. Another tackle later in the game could have seen a second yellow if the opponent was a 'top 4' team.
And yes Adu's control with his chest and turn (all in one fluid movement) to escape his marker in the first half was worth the entrance fee and only possible for very special players.

I just dont want us to go for this lad now. He just does'nt seem ready for it or good enough. After his two performances for USA i'd be suprised if the gaffer spent 4m on the lad.

Think its time to look else were.

I didn't feel like making a new thread for USA-Argentina but Timmy looks unreal right now

made a few exceptional saves in the first few minutes, he's under fire

I already did. Timmy is just awesome. Sir Alex kept the wrong keeper.

Bradley hasn't had much posession in the 1st half. Any attacking from the US is coming from the wings with Beasley and Dempsey. It looks like they are staying away from Machearno in the middle.

Bradley was subbed out at half time. He didn't do much however he stayed back in defence while Beasley and Dempsey attacked from the wings. Bradley doesn't have to licence to join the attack in the US system than he does in Eriedivisie.

Listened to a football radio show (world soccer daily) and they were talking about Bradley. One of the guys said he watched alot of Eriedivise said that Bradley was a hell of a player. At times he'd put the team on his back. That there was no flukey goals and he scored at all kinds of different angles. Plus they brought in an arguement that I've been saying. A 20 goal midfielder for 4M, how can you beat that?

Maybe he is a bust like Kezman or Kuyt I don't know but the difference is that Kuyt costed 11M and Kezman costed 15M and prob make twice as much as what Bradley would command.
