How close can we get to 50 points this season?

Very nice to see we're still capable of putting winning runs together. It was that what took us close to the CL last season and will be what gets us up there next year.

We're looking solid at the back and the boss is playing his cards well again. He's answered a lot of the questions hanging over him.

I think pre season we'll find out wether Martinez has answered the questions hanging over him, replace the deadwood , some of which was bought by him, and get the team fit and ready for the start of the season, not the last 10 games when it's all over.

Carry on like this and we'll get 52,53 or 54 points. 2 wins 2 draws I reckon. We're capable of 4 wins at moment. Think Villa away is our toughest game of the 4 left. P.S. Still been a poor season by recent standards though!

Finishing 8th despite it being our worst season since god knows when would be decent. All these little clubs buzzing their little tits off because they're above the mighty Everton and having their best seasons ever might end up finishing below us despite us having our worstlollol

Come on mate now no need for that. A pat on the head will suffice.

Winning now when the games don't matter is nice but I wouldn't say those questions have been answered unless we carry this form over to next season.

Stoke beating Swansea and U.S. Beating Aston Villa would be ideal. Puts them both 3 points ahead, but we'd have the better goal difference. I know it's only 2 places but it is near enough £1m a place in this league. A £3m loss in last season by finishing 8th wouldn't be too bad, especially as we'd have made more with our Europa League run.

The fear of him doing a Wigan with us was a major part of that questioning. Hopefully this run nails that particular concern and there'll be no massive kneejerk next season if we find ourselves midtable in September/October...although I'm sure there's plenty who will kneejerk.

Our back five is solid. Baines and Coleman have picked up major form and Stones is just the perfect centre back partner for Jagielka. Even Howard has looked superb the last few months. Keep that together for next season and, with no European hangovers to worry about, we can have a chance of top four or five easily (long as we keep Kaks).
