This was never going to be a short investigation. I fully back Holgate in all of this. But one word against another cases tend to be lengthy proceedings.

The longer it goes on the more I'm inclined to think something was said.
Surely if nothing was said then they'd have announced it by now
Putting two and two together to make a number between 3.95 and 4.05 here.I didn;'t mention him running to Rooney, although I think he did.
He defo sees Firmino say something to Holgate and you can see the shock...and he wasn't guided by Holgate's reaction to it either.
The two couldn't have misheard so close to the situation.
Firmino is guilty. And I think LFC's post match statement about 'fully complying' with an investigation said it all.
Forget all the noise about tweets and misinterpretation - Holgaste and Kenny saw and heard racial abuse and I'm convinced we;ll see some acknowledgement of that but that the FA dont want this to kick off Suarez style and will try and contain the severity of what was said.
Spot on.It will be good to hear the decision won't it mate. I've read some disgusting comments by that lot plus comments on here questioning Holgate which doesn't sit right with me but hopefully he and we will find out next week what their findings are
And a made up league table where lack of shots means you’re top, or whatever their moronic alternative is.Needs more poems.
Has Kenny said it happened? I think that’s what it’ll boil down to. If Holgate is on his own then nothing will happen.Spot on.
Two Everton players a yard from the incident spin round in shock and fury at what Firmino said and that's outweighed for some because they swallowed the Kopite 'misheard' fallacy their placemen in the media desperately got up off the ground as an excuse. Shame on them.
If Holgate and Kenny both said it happened, it happened.

Can't see it myself, when Holgate reacts to what was said Kenny is literally holding Firmino and looking at him, and when Holgate reacts Kenny doesn't flinch, you would think this was because he didn't hear what was said.
dave reckons Kenny spins round in shock though, never seen that myself.
Yep, Kenny initially doesn't flinch @davek and it takes a couple of seconds for him to react. About 2 seconds later ( and I've watched it a few times to freshen my memory ) Holgate absolutely flips his lid, grabs the ref and also tries to go looking for Firminho.
At this stage Milner grabs him and drags him away. Kenny definitely says something to the ref so I'm assuming he has said to the ref Did you hear what he said as Kenny then tells Rooney and Rooney and Jagielka are speaking to the ref asking him has he heard it and he puts his hands to his ears as if to say he couldn't hear it as there was a lot if noise. Morgan by this stage has dragged Holgate away.
Before Kennys head gets in the way you see him finish with the word Puta but there's no doubt in my mind he says something additional ( and not just because if the reaction ) but his mouth position looks like he has said something else the next time he goes to him ( once Kenny has unblocked the view ).
My honest opinion is that Holgate has been called what he says, Kenny has heard something but maybe not as clear as Holgate heard it. The ref hasn't heard it as he loses control of the situation and is looking to his right so perhaps isn't sure what was said.
100% I believe Holgate has been the subject of racism after watching it again about 7/8 times ( I was 98% sure the 1st time round)
No conspiracies though, I believe there will be a camera angle proving what he said but if they come out and say there was "insufficient" evidence to charge the player with racism well to me that would only confirm he did say it anyway.
They have to come out and 100% confirm he didn't use the word imo and some of the comments about Holgate from rs fans have been nothing short of a disgrace. I wish I could blow up Twitter becsuse it really brings out the worst in human beings. Saying that, some of the comments from them in the echo report a few days ago was just as bad.
Lastly ( sorry Lou for the long rant lol ) I'm not surprised to see that Madley has been taken out if the firing line of Premier league games the last 2 matches since this incident. An ex referee had mentioned he wasn't in great form in the lead up to our match ( I'm not sure what match he had previously but apparently it had a couple if controversial decisions, maybe Bournemouth v West Ham??? ) and the pen he gave was an atrocious decision, I still can't believe he wasn't booked for diving
Yeah something deffo been said, what convinces me more is that Holgate doesn't react to the puta stuff, but then reacts to what was said after, hopefully Kenny has heard any racist comments.
I know it's probably because "he's an Everton player" and I most likely have blinders on, but I just don't see Holgate as the type of player that would make something like this up. Maybe he misheard or whatnot, but he seems like a professional player who getting bitched at for a pretty bad foul wouldn't phase him. Something made him go balistic. Occam's Razor.
