i am not sauced at all.

but i am feeling quiet good about this transfer window.

maybe too optimistic.

but i am feeling quiet good.

i bet we finish the summer with 4 first team signings.

no outs.

remember this.

lcab said the same on twatter the other day, but he said 1 could go or 2, my guess would be anichebe and cahill are the two front runners. Obvs this will all change if man utd come in for baines, but hey. Reckon we will be bringing in 4 or 5 as well, we need to really even if they aren't on perms

If Cahill goes I hope its because he wants to. We've got no right to complain about players lacking loyalty if we push a servant like him out the door.

this will be the case and rightly so. if he wants to fight for his place, he's done more than enough to merit so. reckon he could maybe still do a job as an impact sub for us but he is the kind of guy who will move closer to home if 1st team football is guaranteed every week

Yobo is a cert to go as well.

Cahill will only leave if he wants to go. He'll not be sold against his wishes, Everton and Moyes hold him in far higher esteem than that.

Anyways, this is wandering slightly away from the original path. Hoilett won't join Everton irrespective of who does or doesn't get sold as he'll have his eyes on a larger club.

Cahill is staying, his move to China has fallen through. This will affect any deals we had in the pipeline as secretly we wanted and need Cahill off the wage bill.

would have to agree with this.
when i said "no outs" i was thinking more along the lines of baines and fellaini would be staying.
so let me correct myself.
no MAJOR outs.

Agree with this, people are saying Baines going will let Moyes sign players... But thats what deadwood is there for, theres 3 players who are on big wages who would get us a decent transfer budget, Yobo, Cahill and Anichebe. Selling those three will allow us to get in Pienaar and a couple of freebies. Thats all we need, so why sell Baines. Theres no need too IMO.

We owe a lot of money and the bank isn't exactly going to let us turn down £15-18m.

Our debt is more secure with the new TV deal coming in. So the bank will not be in a position to pressure us for money now.

That is my opinion anyway.

I think we should offer him what he wants, hes got so much talent and loads of resale value, sadly even the original source says that its unlikely

It's not even just the wages he wants though mate.

From what I can see he wants about 80k a week (breaking our wage structure completely and the likes of Fellaini and co would want to be on par i'm sure). Plus i'm not 100% sure if he's worth that much of a risk for a club like us.

And then there is the compensation, signing fee, agent fees. Which seems like they would have all been hefty too. Few places mentioning figures up to £7million total. Not really a free transfer...

He's a greedy little sh*t if he's asking for £80K.

He's an unproven player. Clearly he's a very good talent, but he's just that at the moment.

I have no issue with paying up to £7m for him though. He'll be worth more than that in the future, easily, as he is gifted. Of course I'm sure we can't afford £7m so I doubt it matters.

Cahill hasnt only got offers on the table from China though, he as offers on the table from clubs from Saudi Arabia and the UAE.
