Anyone know or heard if were close to signing him or not?. On another EFC site (could be a bull**** rumour) there lead to believe that weve agreed a short term deal up until Jan with him and it will be announced sometime soon?!.

I'd get him signed up, good player when fit and when fit would definitely add something to the squad and help with numbers, and it would allow us to let Barkley stay out on loan at Wednesday till Jan or longer to help his progression?!.

The silence is deafening, I think he'll be a handy player to have around the squad, rather him than Neville in the middle. How old is he anyway, must be around 31/32

Why is the silence deafening mate?

And I think 31.

I may be just overreacting and being pessimistic but it does seem to have gone very quiet on him. A few weeks ago we had Andy Lewis telling us how he was getting on in training etc. Though, Andy Lewis has left Everton now but I would have assumed someone else at the club would let us know how he getting on.

I don't think there's too much to worry about. He played (quite well I hear) in the Huddersfield friendly yesterday. Just needs to prove his fitness.

Nothing wrong with us making sure.

He's not even that good.

Gives us options though, we have all been worried without Gibson - and if Fellaini happens to get an injury that would leave him out for 3-8 weeks we would be very thin in the middle.

another mcfadden/hannehman they use finch farm to regain there fitness and get paid for it with money we dont have in the process.
