nearly entirely unrelated but weird non the less and I thank you for bringing it to the attention of us all.

You're welcome.

And to make it on topic, just concerning that an old Prem player goes to Chesterfield when we have a gazillion page thread about another old prem player who is just alright. He's a bit younger but hey.

He's an odd one boa morte, brilliant at times for Fulham and awful for everyone else. Malbranque was similar. Their pienaar's I guess.

Yeah but 'Boa Morte' means 'Beautiful death' while 'Hitzlsperger' means 'Finger her lid'

By not being ****; he came in on a free and played very good considering a lot of people were negative about it at first. Pretty simple really, didn't know i needed to break the answer down

I don't think he did play as well as you're suggesting to be honest but that's not to say it wasn't a useful signing, given that we were down to the bare bones at times with injuries and Heitinga being cup-tied in Europe.

I saw the logic in signing him and wasn't either overly impressed or under-impressed by his performances so was not in the slightest bit surprised. Nor was anyone I go the match with. That's why I asked.

This could be the longest trial since OJ Simpson!

This was spotted outside Goodison waiting to take Hitzlsperger to Malta. Or something.

Would you play well for a relatively small Belgian club (no offence) if you were pretty sure youd clinched a big move to the BPL?

Exacty, he must of been on a downer after the deal to us fell through, and hasnt he had an injury of late that he's coming back from, so that could hinder his form?!.

Looks a player though and i hope we go back in for him in Jan cos we could do with him.

Then again, we could do with Hitzlperger right now IMO and hopefully he can prove his fitness cos he is a good player and would be good to have around the squad.

Didnt raelise Club Brugge were considered a small club in Belgium. They've only won their home league 13 times like.
