Politics discussion here, do you really need to start discussing whether you fancy female politicians or not?

moving swiftly on! ever known a point in recent history with such division in both main parties??

I am not sure that the parties are really "split"; what appears to be happening is that you have both parties with a sizeable number of careerists in them, all of whom share similar aims, beliefs and operating practices.

What may happen is that we briefly end with a three party system - "traditional" Labour and Tory, with the careerists coming together to claim that they are moderates.

Sorry, reporter but it was completely unnecessary especially as she's had a bucket load of sexism as it is

She has received some disgraceful abuse - but there are a lot of very valid criticisms of how she, and other Westminster hacks, have crossed the line from journalism into what is basically advocacy on behalf of certain groups.

So the PLP does not seem to represent the Labour Party membership, but it does represent the wider electorate, who voted for them?

So to solve that, the Labour membership want/should select every Labour candidate in every constituency?

Or have I missed something?
