Hi guys,

I know that you have a match thread for yesterdays game but I thought I would close this thread with my final comments until we visit your stadium at the end of the season. I hope you do not mind.

Again I left the Boleyn feeling that your boys had mugged us again. It is unbelieveable the number of times you seem to do this to us. I am not whinging & fair play to you you did what you had to do & it worked for you AGAIN.

I have been going over the Boleyn since 1967 & I can only think of 2 occassions when we beat you, once was the FA Cup quarter final in the 90's & the other was the Tevez season when Zamora scored a cracking goal.

I went to the game expecting us to win & thinking that we cannot get mugged again & that Saha would not score but both happened again. Saha's scoring record against us is amazing, for someone that is always injured he is alwys seems to be fit to play against us & always scores. This goes all the way back to when he first signed for Fulham.

Anyway back to the game we lost because we did not take our chances, we had most of the possession & apart from the 2 goals I do not thing Green had a save to make.

Fair play to you with the injury list as long as yours (you must be the only team with more injuries than us) you rode your luck & went home with 3 points.

I expect us still to finish mid table & hopefully when we play you at the end of the season we will both have most of our players back & it should be a good game.

All the best until then & I look forward to visiying your site in April

Nice one mate..It's good to hear from a proper fan, (from a proper club like WHU).

Didn't catch the game...just gauged the reaction off this forum, and spoke to a mate of mine today who's a hammer, and his report basically mirrors yours....you got a good-un in young Hines, shows a lot of promise, is fast as feck, and his composure in front of goal will come with games and experience...

No , lad . There were many , many more than that . FA Cup 5th round , the game after the 4-4 , 92 ; loads in the 70's and 80's when yous were in the Prem / Lge 1 .
The first time I went there , I think Tommy Taylor scored the winner !!!
Kitson / Hartson ; Cottee - pre joining us - ;
Frank - I 'd love to stick that corner flag up your arse - , Lampard Snr .
My fav' day there was , Dave Watson's first game in temp' charge . Big Man , Capt' , scores a late equalizer . L.C.A.B. on pitch - I was in the first row - . Also ripped the arse out of John Moncur ,
" I said , " Fuk Off , Bobby Davro " , as me intro ; though he gave it back . Shook me hand in the end . Top Fella .
Take it easy , lad .

Really impressed me - also noticed he went down a few times under hard (but fair) challenges, and each time he bounced straight back onto his feet, not trying to con the ref or writhing around a la Droghba - I respect that.

Fair analysis mate. We were really lucky, there's no point denying it & if you'd have taken a couple of chances it would have been a completely different game. Suppose that's just football though & it was nice for us to get the rub of the green for once, we've really needed a bit of luck & finally we've got some & hopefully it'll give our players some confidence going into the international break.

It was weird, normally when you get on the coach after a good result it's bouncing all the way home but we all just sort of dropped in our seats & didn't move or speak due to the relief. We were hanging on there & you can never tell whether it's going to be a good result or a last second heartbreaker. Thankfully we were able to hang on & might be able to push on now.

I wish you's well, hope you's go on a great run. Well done for the comments & the advice about parking etc, hope to see you back here soon
