He's got gray hair but we don't care

Someone who even Stoke City turned their nose up at recently. Someone who threatened to 'slap' a female reporter for asking a difficult question. Someone who ran his contract down and then acted Billy Bigtime towards us within weeks of leaving. Someone who failed in his last 4 jobs and lasted less than a year in any of them.

It's obvious this guy is just what we need isn't he?

When your ship is sinking you shouldn’t turn your nose up at a dinghy in the hope to wait for a mega yacht to slide by.

Just don’t stay in the dinghy for 10 years this time.

Can't wait for 30,000 happyclappers in the stadium to give Moyes a standing ovation and heroes welcome back.

We've got to get behind him. He's our only hope.

Ok, I disagree with his choice of apparel, but having taken your advice I feel bad for besmirching his good name. Couldn't see a current justgiving or anything on his twitter, what's the best way to send his causes a small donation in apology?
Leave this forum immediately and dont return would be a start

I don’t see how he overstayed his welcome what happened is is peak team of 07-09 got decimated with injuries (Arteta Jagielka Yakubu Anichebe) and then sales as we hit extreme hardship to the point where in 11/12 we had a terrible team and had to go transfer windows with only loans and no first team players. He then turned that around within about 18 months to the team he left us with with the likes of Fellaini Jelavic Mirallas Pienaar etc. with Stones and Barkley in reserve. Watch the football from that season and tell anyone it’s not a world of difference from anything post Moyes. He immediately took us back to the level of qualifying for Europe and cup semi finals. Had he stayed on who knows what he would have done with Moshiri’s cash. Yes he soured relations with how he went to United but he didn’t go stale; he just showed he could rebuild multiple teams to a high standard. The clowns that have followed have barely been able to keep us in the league.
Well when you put it like that.

Never was anti Moyes tbh. What I meant to say with him 'overstaying his welcome', had more to do with him losing that bit of hunger for the game. He had one of the safest jobs in world football (maybe even rightly so) and imo that probably made him lose a bit of appetite for the game. He knew he wouldn't break into the top 5 without the investment and imho that also showed of on the players, staff and the whole club. Again, he was probably totally right in that, but personally don't think any Everton manager should ever show that to the outside.

As for the last bit, think I already aknowledged that Moyes was by far the better manager compared to the clowns you're quite rightly referrring to. And he most probably would've performed a lot better if he had anywhere near their financial resources.

I completely aknowledge what Moyes has done for this club. Without doubt he brought some much needed stability to the club, did some great rebuilding and I dread to think about where we would be without him. I imagine very dark days.

Do I want him back though? Sorry, it's a no for me.

We played decent football all throughout his tenure here.

Trophyless decent football though.
Right now I'd settle for a season or so of the same. A couple of decent cup runs too. Think it's become obvious we are a long, long way from breaking the top four .Getting beaten by the Norwich's and Brighton's is breaking my spirit.
