When all seems lost, they stand up and make the difference. That's what Everton's about, no? Breeding heroes.

Pienaar and Howard were immense throughout. I think Howard's instinct save was the best I've ever seen post-Southall.

But, for me, it was perfect that between Cahill and Arteta, when it all seemed over, they turned it around. They stayed alert, they didn't give up, and they've given us all a bit of hope.

Mr. Everton and Señor Everton in tandem. I salute them both.

indeed.
top job lads well done

One save in particular of Howards was save of the season. Close the book on that already. Pienaar deserves whatever he is asking for. His workrate alone keeps us going when we are not playing that great.

Without exaggeration, it's the finest save I've ever seen (bar when I've watch Southall highlight reels).

Pienaar is ace though. People start calling him a mercenary and crap like that, but just look at him. He never stops. And like you said, he keeps us going when we're not playing well.

Was Howards save all that good or did it just look good?

I'm a goalkeeper at heart so love to give credit where its due but he was diving to his left, the ball took a defelction and he stuck his leg up.

Looks good but that good of a save all things considered.

Pienarr was great today.

It was his quick instincts. The save really was that good. Time after time again I've seen keepers, including Howard, get beaten by cruel delfections, but today he cottoned on quick enough to make an improvised save. It was class, mate.

Pienaar was better than them both today, nice one for the wonderful finish but they were both largely pants.

They're still ace like.

Cahill was good all game, imo, but Arteta wasn't too good, yes. But he popped up when we needed it. It's okay playing well -- like the whole team did against Villa -- but it's about really standing up and making the difference, which they both did at the very end.

Moyes needed to put his arm around Pienaar after that match and persuade him that his future is here with Everton and get him to sign.
