Reports in Scandinavia suggest Everton have made a firm offer for Henrik Larsson.
A number of clubs have been linked with the veteran Swede in recent weeks, but Everton are said to be fronting the queue which is also said to include Tottenham.
Larsson has admitted to being flattered by the interest being shown in him from England - where he enjoyed a loan spell with Manchester United in 2007.
"It is flattering that there is interest." Larsson told Expressen.
Larsson's agent Rob Jansen has confirmed that the striker has received an offer to move to England, reported to be from Everton.
"It's up to Henrik to decide now. If he wants to join this club," Jansen stated.
"He will make his decision during the weekend."
Larsson's club Helsingborgs have already stated they could be willing to let him leave.

Do we need another striker? I'd love him here but we already have Yakubu, Saha, Vaughan, Anichebe and Cahill who are all basically forwards.

Maybe Vic is going out on loan.

I'd say so. If Yak gets injured what then?

Larsson is proven quality. I hope we get him in.

Larsson Bid

Accorsing to SSN we have made a firm offer for Henrik Larsson. He is Apparently considering the offer over the weekend. If we get him I can see Big Vic going out on loan. Another desperate signing I feel

I'd be very happy to have him here. Not only could he potentially bag a few goals, it'd be great for Vic, Vaughany, Baxter etc. to have someone of his quality to learn some tips off. Sign him up (y)

No disrespect to a legend, but he's 38 years old FFS!

Can someone turn the lights off at Goodison Park and put the cat out please?

True, the good thing about Larsson is he knows he won't play every game. He'll be used sparingly because of his age.

I've always admired him as a player, good link man, good movement and an excellent finisher.

I'm hoping we can actually spend some money this transfer window aswell, a reasonably big signing.

I'd be happy to have him here, I just hope we sign a big-name midfielder or two to supply the amo to him.

We do have a very young squad. He's a good character, a winner and a bloody good player.

His link up play would improve our distribution in the final third and he'd be a good option from the bench.
