Henderson/Jones and what that means for us?

Jones has extreme passion and aggression for his age. He will be a brilliant signin for them. As for Rodwell, I don't believe his best position will be CB. I believe it will be central midfield. I think if he played alongside a similar player to himself, he'd prove himself to be absolute quality. I don't care if he is only worth £12m next season in the papers. What matters is Everton and I want Rodwell to stay. In a proper, passing, quality team, or a team that plays the same way every week, Rodwell would be class. He's tall, he's a good passer, he can shoot and he can tackle, plus two feet. It's up to Moyes and the management team to find a way to get the best out of him and to help him grow. Slow progress is OK for me, and I don't understand the fans that wanna slate Rodwell. He doesn't play in a great team, so improving and helping the team improve is not easy.

Jagielka is bloody brilliant. We need to set a team up that plays the same way each week and the likes of Jagielka, Rodwell, Fellaini, Baines, Coleman and even Beckford will prove to be class if we can do that!

I think Jags would do well at Emirates.
Not saying that I want Jags to leave. He should definitely stay.

But then again, we have 3 top centre-backs with Distin who was simply amazing this season, Jags and Johnny.
If DM sold Jags, Heitinga + Distin would be a rock solid defense too. Plus, it would be a chance to get a fresh defender in.

I don't see Jags leaving for Emirates, though. Both, Jags and Vermaelen would be left-footed centre backs and it would be quite unusual to play two of those. Neither Jags, nor Vermaelen would want to be on the bench. Arsenal should better be searching for a younger, cheaper left-footed CB or a good right foot as Squillaci wasn't exactly the shining star in Arsenal's defense. Though being signed to OL till 2014, Lovren could be what Wenger could need.

Anyway, don't touch the Jag!

isn't jags right footed...hence he came to us as a possible RB? anyway, deffo hands off...if he went to arsenal they would be in with a great chance of winning the league...

Footballers, as with every other commodity in the world are worth whatever someone will pay for them.

Unfortunately as we're not in the market, we can't accurately speculate what someone may or may not go for, it's driven entirely by the party looking to purchase.

As an FYI aside, Rodwell is not captaining the U21's!

Now, there's no established captain of the national side though. There's been 4 different captains for the last 4 fixtures, but not once has that been our Rodzilla. Michael Mancienne was captain at CB when Rodders played all 90 minutes against Norway U21. Sunday it's up against the Spain U21's, and then we shall see where it goes.

The Captain for the u-21 euro's was going to be Micah Richards before he dropped out. Mancienne has been slected in his place.

Yeah, before these last fixtures mentioned above, Mancienne had a solid run throughout all last fall's U21 fixtures as captain.

Rodwell is in desperate need of a real breakthrough here though, i think we're all slightly miffed about how he hasn't been able to step up to the hype of his performances last spring. Damn this crap 2010/11 season of ours. We're badly in need of him making his senior debut, methinks. Here's to scoring a hattrick against the spaniards.
