Travelling to Swansea game
I'm going to the game on Saturday from Uni open day at Chester. Time will be tight – do I go through tunnel or Warrington way?

RAC route map states tunnel but what are your recommendations, please? I live 200 miles away and will be leaving chester approx 1.30-ish.

Many thanks

I'd get the train. They're every 15 minutes from Chester (:00, :15, :30, :45), and the prices are quite cheap (£6.65 return according to thetrainline.com). Getting from Line Street to Goodison would be the hardest part. Either walk (it's 3 miles, so give yourself plenty of time), or get a taxi (it's about £6 per taxi journey).

There's bus routes to Goodison, but I have no idea what route #, or times they are.

If you take the train, change at Moorfields and catch a train to Kirkdale. Chester to Kirkdale costs the same as going into town and you just have a 10/15 min walk from Kirkdale.

Many thanks for your suggestions - we are coming up by car and need to go the Roby after the game to visit relatives - time will be tight so hopefully we can get away from chester at 1pm latest

1pm ain't bad. I catch a bus from a place near Wrexham (leaves around 12:15 - 12:30), and I'm at Goodison by 1:45-2:00. From Chester, the trip is only about 30 - 45 mins. The problem is parking though. The prices are madness, anywhere from £5-£10 and the place fill up VERY quickly when you're an hour from kickoff.
