Alan Whittle

Player Valuation: £70m
My Evertonian son will be 21 next month. Would like him to have something permanent as well as WHU tickets and cash. Thinking about getting a shirt signed and framed. Would have to drive up from SW but no problem. Question is, how, if at all, I could go about getting the shirt signed? Players and Moyes if poss. All ideas welcome.
Thanks in advance.(y)

I bought Nuno's match worn shirt with his signature on his number on the back and the rest of the team on the front. It was from a mate who had a contact within the club. Cost me an arm and a leg but worth it. Framed and on my Everton wall alongside a lovely photo of the gorgeous man himself.b)

There's a few websites that have shirts, some are match worn but if you just want a shirt signed then I think it's just a case of hanging around and getting them to sign them one at a time.
I doubt the club would oblige but I may be wrong. They must have dozens of requests every week I suppose but no harm in asking.

The shirts look the business in a frame though. Also got a shirt with Pat Nevin, Sharpy, Duncan McKenzie, Leon Osman, Barry Horne, Ian Snodin and the wonderful Dave Hickson, also framed. Strange combination of players past and present but treasured nevertheless.

Id tell him to go and support a club that wont break his heart week in week out.

In a league that hasnt become predictably BORING!

Best bet is knowing someone. YTS boys in particular somehow manage to get loads of stuff. Not really sure how that helps you, but there might be someone on a forum somewhere that knows one of the lads.

His only other choice was Palace! 40 years of hurt tell me he didn't make a bad choice.

Thanks fellas, I thought it might be difficult. Don't fancy waiting outside Finch Farm to be mown down by a fleet of Gold Maseratis. Wondered whether anyone knew someone in the club who could organise it. Could always "Ask Sharpy" I suppose.....
Had a quick look on a number of sites, no Everton to be found and £400
for anyone still playing. How do you know their genuine sigs. anyway?

What about the eauction thing on the OS - they used to have shirts pretty regularly (in fact, just checked and they have three including a squad signed one)? Also photos.

If you don't have any luck we'll have a whip around and get the lads of GOT to sign a jersey for you. Don't snigger, one day we'll have a Barca style members coup and lead the team to glory, after which we'll follow in the footsteps of Berlesconi and use that as the platform to take over the county. That happens, you'll look back on this day and wish you'd got our signatures ;)

ebay do ones signed by Joe Royle, Kendall, Alex young etc. and they come with photo proof of the players signing and a certificate of authenticity. Last time i looked they were about £15, which i thought was well cheap

Must be fake at that price.
Even a lot of the supposedly genuine signed stuff is nothing of the sort.

Ex wife of a mate of mine works for a big sportswear manufacturer and merrily boasts about having to fake signatures because of the difficulty in getting the famous 'sportspersons' they sponsor to sit down and do it themselves.
