And for the record guys, I am in the US Navy and my first boat (sub ) was the USS Florida (SSBN-728 later SSGN-728). I had the pleasure of taking the Florida to Cape Canaveral. Lets just say they loved having the Florida in Florida It would make chico proud!!

yeah the cuba-florida relationship is a strange one. spent four years living in miami while in school and its a very interesting dynamic. its funny how internationals talk about cuba as a vacation destination because that is not a legal option for americans haha. but from everything ive heard, its beautiful--despite the political, social, and economic problems.

dylan--very cool. must have been and still is quite an experience to work on a sub.

Its a stunning place jagler, dont listen to all what youre being told. Its an amazing country, no more political or social problems than where were from.

Tourism is rife here mate, no problems with Americans coming over on indirect flights. You a strong swimmer?

Hey my experience doesn't end there, following the Florida I went to a SEAL team and now I teach at Naval Submarine School!

Yep. Naval Submarine Base New London (New London is on the other side of the river and we are located in Groton. Don't ask me how that turned out!)
