Heitinga

Wait, I think you misunderstood me.

I said put Jagielka in midfield and then put Heitinga in as CB.

So you've got something like this.

- Osman - Jagielka -

- Baines - Distin - Heitinga - Hibbert -

- Howard -

Jags is a shocking midfielder sorry, I'd rather we chuck Fellaini back in there, but now it looks like Jelavic might be injured for a bit, well that's not going to happen as Fellaini will be thrown up front on his own. I think we're stuck with Neville there lads.

Moyes should have brought Heitinga on for Neville last night, he'd have brought a simple, steading no-nonsense solution to midfield and a lot more solidity to the team. Apart from being totally gash, Neville was compromised after the early yellow card.

Ideally with all players available Heitinga would partner Distin at CB. Moyes likes the natural left and right foot pairing. Heitinga should get the nod over Jagielka based on current form as the latter seems on the verge of another self-deluded slump in form that usually coincides with playing for England. In the absence of Gibson, Neville's obvious shortcomings, Jagielka's piss poor distribution and a defence that is starting leak defendable goals, Heitinga is our most viable option at CM, especially if the CM 'partner' is the wispy Osman.

If we are stuck with PN there - and I have been a huge supporter in the past - then we are done for this season. There's no questioning his passion and what he has given us but he just doesn't have the pace or the touch anymore. Was on a yellow very early on for a mistime last night and then you just worried every time he got the ball from then on

Heitinga must be sitting on the bench thinking what the **** is going on here, some really dodgy defending at times last night.
And he could do a better job than neville did in midfield.
