Hi Guys, new on here, and thought I'd get involved. I personally think Heitinga should get more game time this year. Distin will be off probably at the end of this season, and Johnny needs to be given the chance to command a CB berth. I can kind of see his frustration, A dutch international (though slighlty dodgy in recent times) only getting 5 or so minutes per match. Why can't Moysie rotate them more frequently in the premier league??

Welcome mate. Rotation of CBs is very rare. They tend to only lose their places because of injury or form, as clubs like a settled pairing. Don't know why you think Distin is off at the end of the season - where's your info from?

I just get the feeling that he might retire or be released at the end of this season, especially if he loses a yard of pace... which if we're honest is his main asset. If we are serious about keeping Johnny then he needs to play. I do agree though that some of the statements he comes out with probably dont do him any favours, if we are to believe the media sources.

I wouldn't be suprised if Distin retired at the end of this season either. He made a comment in his interview on the OS about covering at left back for Baines, last season, and how it was hard on his tired old legs.

I'm sure it was partly tongue in cheek but there's probably an element of truth in it somewhere. Hopefully he carries on for another couple of seasons but I imagine Distin is just taking it season by season atm and seeing how he feels.

hes got no problem rotating them when Jags is the one in 3rd position, bet its a different story now
